Dynotile Installation
Dynotile does not require a professional to install and our unique Overlock™ technology makes installation quick and easy. Simply align the pegs and loops, press firmly and you're onto the next tile. No glue. No adhesive. Just snap and go and in a matter of hours you'll have a great looking, customized design for your garage makeover as your permanent or temporary floor.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Before beginning your installation of Dynotile please make sure you are equipped with these basic tools:
  • Eye Protection
  • Rubber Mallet
SITE PREPERATION

Dynotile tiling is meant to be installed on a clean, flat, and solid surface. Make certain to patch or fill holes in the substrate and grind down any significant protrusions that may interfere with installing Dynotile on a flat surface.

In areas where extreme temperature fluctuation may occur, it is advisable to leave a 13mm gap between two adjacent edges and walls to accomodate heat expansion of the tile. During your floor installation, keep nothing on top of the floor because your floor will self-correct as you install.

STEP 1

Remember to always wear eye protection when installing Dynotile. Dynotile has two different types of edges per tile, a flat edge and a female loop edge. When installing Dynotile always be careful to have the female loop edges always facing the same direction.

Identify female loop edges before proceeding.

STEP 2

Start in one corner of the room and be sure to work in one direction. ALign the tiles so that a flat edge goes across the front of the garage opening, just inside the door track, and the other flat edge follows a wall line. Align the tiles so that the pegs match up with the loops. Apply firm pressure downward toward the loop edge. A rubber mallet may be used for this step. Dynotile's Overlock technology allow the tiles to snap snugly into place.

STEP 3

Proceed to snap tiles into place along the two edges of your room adjacent to your first tile until these two perimeter edges are complete.

Continue locking Dynotile's in place adding rows. Remeber to keep working in the same direction. Continue until floor is complete.

STEP 4

Install Edge and Corner pieces on tiles located in any transitional areas such as:

  1. Leading edge of garage (where main garage door is located).
  2. Doorways and entrances that are flush with garage floor.

HELPFUL TIPS
  • Dynotile Tiles, Edge pieces, and Corner pieces, may be cut with a straight edge saw where a complete tile or piece may not fit evenly.
  • Do your entire trimming at the hottest part of the day and with nothing on top of the floor.
  • Never try to glue down or fasten the floor, it is designed to expand and contract.
  • When bringing everything back into your newly surfaced area, do so at the hottest part of the day, when the floor is fully expanded.

MAINTAINENCE

Day-to-daycleaning is performed by sweeping and mopping with water and a degreaser. Solvent-based solutions can be used to clean stubborn areas without harming the flooring. To aid in separating the floor for removal, slide a broom handle under the floor at a joint, and slide it along the joint to separate the locks.
